Default Running lights?

So my 2012 has day time running lights using the head lights, is there anyway to have the DRLs use the Amber lights like the 14 f150s?

I apologize if this has been covered before but I can't find anything using the search.

My 2011 came with DRL, took it to the dealer and they disabled the DRL, I am not sure if you can make the markers as DRL or not, I just wanted them disabled since I plan on running Retrofits.

Thanks for the info guys! I was sure there was a way to do it, because the 13-14 trucks come from the factory this way.

This must be in Canada? None in the states have DRLs. My dealer said they can program the headlights (HID) to be DRLs at a lower power but I want my amber lights to be DRLs. They didn't know anything about that.

My 2013 KR with HID lights the DRL's are the amber. The only way to do it with HID's.

Yes it is.
The 12s have DRLs using the headlights here and the 13/14s use the ambers which look much better!

Only the 13 and 14 model years can be changed from headlight to parking light DRLs. The 2012 back can just be enabled/disabled. I assume the option was put on the trucks in 13 to accomidate the hid headlight option.

I'm going to my dealer today! I saw a Raptor the other day with the amber lights on and I wanted to flag him down and ask how he did it.

Many of the dealers either don't know how or don't want to deal with changing the DRLs.

It is pretty easy just tell them once the laptop is connected, go to the tool box tab > module programming > programmable parameters > exterior lighting > the next screen is where the options are listed for DTRL. (Thanks to Rnlcomp for the path) Again this is only for the 13 and 14 model years. I was lucky and the second dealer I tried was willing to give it a shot and didnt charge me to do it. But I've heard some here are charged labor to hook up the IDS.
