Default rust!!!!!! what already!!!

so i bought this f150 in July. three days ago at the car wash i notice rust on the rear bumper. I went sraight to my ford dealer!! so no pics from the other day i was so mad i went right there. They tell me they have never seen this and they think it its from the rail dust. Which i would think my truck came in on a semi since i live in IL and it was built in MI. Anyway i can not understand this. It is a surface rust that rubs off when you clean it with a cleaner or wax. They told me if it comes back they may have to replace the bumper. Well its a few days later and it is back. Please see pics. Now all this being said. I live in the midwest, but my truck is not dirty for more than 2 days and i have a heated garage. People tell me all the time I wash my truck too much. So my question is has any one else seen this or have it happen. BTW this is my 3rd F150, had a 97, 05 now a 2010, plus I had a 06 ranger. So I like my ford trucks and cars.

booo hooo

polish it off. Part of owning a vehicle is keeping up with it. You expect Ford to send a custom detailer over to your house every weekend?

mistake me if I am wrong I thought this was a forum for information and for questions. I asked a question if anyone else has had this happen. Like I said I do was my truck and understand keeping up with it. Also being my 3rd F150 and 4th ford truck this is the 1st I have seen this happen. The truck was at the dealer two days ago and it was polished off and now its back. Justin251 thank you for your input.....

Do you recall ever having a 3M type of protection film strip on the leading edge of your rear bumper? Check the other side possibly. Looks like it is getting pitted from debris. Note, a heated garage in the winter is actually worse as rust grows faster in warmer temps. Plus cold parts hitting warm air will create condensation.

If all fails, I would get some 3M film on there. Dealers will not carry it, you will need to order it yourself.
