Default Running Boards

I live in Maine and have the stock running boards on my 09 F150. When it snows or even just raining the running boards get slick. Is there something I can put on them to gain some traction?

you can glue some rubber on them. that will give you a less chance of slipping

Nope, I designed and fabricated them. And they work great, never had a slip since. Got to be careful barefoot though, lol.
I was thinking about selling them, but they are pricey.

I use skateboard deck tape on my jeep rocker guard steps. Works well in all conditions and its been stuck to the painted metal for 3 years now with no peeling and is under $7.

My running boards need no extra grip as they are aftermarket Amp Research power boards and the surface is non slip built in but I do have a tilting hitch mounted motorcycle carrier that was slick as owl snot trying to load my bike so I got some 3m anti skid tape on a roll from Homedepot. Works great.

This is the stuff I used, would work great on your running boards or any where traction is needed. https://www.homedepot.com/p/3M-4-in-...36NA/100211722
