Amp...hands down the best. I found a NIB set on eBay for $820 shipped.

I did this as well, makes them so much better. Not sure why factory puts them so close.

I used 1/8 which are fine but flex a little if front and back seat people step on at same time. I would recommend 1/4 inch angle iron and drilled my own holes. You need 2 feet. 2 6 inch pieces per side.
