See? It works in monkeys!
My F-350 was stolen while I was in Fort Mac in July of 2008, recovered it, and then proceeded to fight with ICBC until November to get them to do the work. I was splitting my time between FMM, Williams Lake and Fort Nelson.
Glad to hear you're okay, but what a pain you're in for.

The other thing is some area's have a lot of gates, so driving up and having to open and close gates it's just easier w/o the seat belt.
Next is because when road hunting you're typically driving slow enough people 'feel' safe not wearing seatbelt due to the low speed.
*One more thing, some people fear rolling when offroad and not being able to get out of the seatbelt.

I'm surprised the roll control or stability assist didn't kick in and save the roll, unless you had the systems turned off?
When I first got my 2011, 5.0 I came off the highway exit too hot for being wet out, tapped the throttle mid way through my turn and just as truck began to rotate, the stability program cut the throttle and applied the ABS brakes and had me on my way un-scathed.
Made me feel like it would be impossible to roll this truck with all the Nannie aids enabled, unless something of substantial force T-boned the truck on the side etc..

All those bells and whistles won't help much on an narrow road with a steep grade at the edge and getting a wheel/two over the edge.
Last year I had to turn my traction control stuff off to get up an icy, snow covered hill. Traction control was breaking the spinning wheel(s) and causing me to lose momentum. Took me two runs to figure out to turn off traction control.
Back to the OP, glad to hear everyone is okay.
