Great news! Now make sure you get them sprayed after they're all cleaned up.

That will be the first thing I do after I get it back, along with putting zip tape over the rocker holes. Think about using Krown. Anyone used krown before?

Krown's really popular around here, I haven't used it myself though. There are a lot of oil spray products that come and go but Krown's been around for a while and has a pretty good warranty.

I saw a place in Buffalo, NY that applied Krown and I know there is a place in Kingston. Maybe i'll have to make a trip up to have it done.

So they are going to cover the repairs under the paint and corrosion warranty. The service manager said it was the worst case of rocker rust he's seen over the last 10 years. Dealership was super nice about getting everything taken care of. They said the repairs would take around a week but its a small price to pay compared to having it fixed out of pocket. I had little faith at the beginning but was glad everything worked out. Sometimes all you have to do is a little research, thanks to all for the advice.
Great to hear! Spray the hell out of them on the inside once you get her back!

I plan on it. Probably will be replacing the rear brake light gasket also. Can't be too careful.

I installed the Raptor 3rd brake light with the running light option back in 2015. The gasket is really thick so I think I'm okay there. I suspect I have a slight leak in my passenger side rear window seam since my driver rocker panel is in good shape...for now.

Update. Just dropped the truck off to have the repairs started. Will update the post when I get it back with pictures of the repairs.

Good news on my end - the body shop manager at my dealer just called and my repair got approved. I only have this issue on my passenger side. I've since sprayed the inside of my driver rocker to prevent or at least slow the process on that side. I'm hoping to get my truck in the first week in August.

Edit: I've since learned that Ford now has just the rocker panel part for our generation supercabs (like they do for all previous generations). Previously, they would need to order the entire door frame and harvest the rocker for this repair. Having the new part obviously reduces the overall cost of the repair since they are not wasting 7/8 of the door frame. This, to me, is good news should my driver side start to rot as my corrosion warranty expires on 9/11/17.

Here's a link to the part: https://raybuck.com/product/2009-201...assenger-side/

Any updates on your truck? I have to imagine it's finished by now. Would be interested to see how they did on the repair. Mine is going into the dealer on 7/31 to have my passenger rocker replaced.
