Help..wiring light install
Hello. I'm less than experienced, even for an easy install such as this. It's a Twin Strobz Amber light kit that mounts behind the grille and comes with control box for the cab. See pic attached of instructions. I don't know where I should wire it to....says a capable power supply of supporting 1Amp. Also where is best location to run into the cab. Is there a grommit on driver or passenger side? Any detailed info would be great. I
don't want to mess it up and have done very little wiring before, although this is likely a simple project to many of you. Lol. Thanks for the help!

Do you want to use the light when the ignition is on, off or both?
As far as routing locations for wires, look at the firewall for access areas.

You could easily wire directly to the battery. Just add a in line 1amp fuse. Or find a constant power that is in the fuse panel that you could piggy back off of.

I see a few empty spots in the fuse box under the hood, that has power when I touched the red wire into it and grounded the black wire. Would I just buy an inline fuse or wrap the red wire around a 1A fuse and place it in one of those "spare" slots in the fuse panel?

Buy an inline fuse and a spade that will allow you to insert the wire into one of the open spots. Also buy some butt connectors as it makes wiring simple.

Thank you! So any open spot in the fuse box under the hood is fine as long as there's power? Would I do an inline fuse and fuse in the box both at 1amp?

Yes any power supply is ok. You only need 1, 1 amp fuse.

Something like this, but use a 1amp fuse.

Also, to run controller to cab, I see a hole with grommit on left side of footwell (inside truck). Do I just pop out the grommit under the hood side, run the cord through, then push the rubber grommit back in place?
