Speed- I always use relays with halogens. Since those reverse lights are LED, I assume less than 1-2 amps, the relays may not be needed. Just a simple 1N4002 diode to split the reverse signal and over ride switch is all that is needed. Your idea works, and does keep all things separate, just stating that with LED lights, it may no be needed.

I have the reverse bar, it is more for show. It does not light anything up of value back there. I even have "high powered" 921 LEDs in the tails. Nothing doing. Installed a set of halogens on a bypass switch for when needed. Like getting aholes off my butt, backing in to a campsite late at night, thanking truckers who signal me it's safe to get back in line, ... I WILL replace those with LED ones one day, and, wire them to my LED flasher that I have wired up to most of the truck already. It is almost parade season afterall.

Yep, agreed, relays not necessary, but I wanted to stay out of the factory wiring and BCM as much as possible.

That's actually pretty impressive. I may just have to look into one of those.

Looks like a good idea for a jeep, but I think it may interfere with tailgate operation, unless you can mount it upside down or something. But it would still be in danger of getting kicked getting up in the truck.

Default But what does it look like in the camera view?!?!!?

So I believe the OP and a few others are interested in what supplemental lighting is going to make your review camera image look like....after all, that was the primary reason for adding them, right??

So here ya go.....

Red bag next to tire for size reference, about a foot and a half tall, not big at all, think toddler, small animal, etc. Something you would WANT to see when backing.....next pic, red bag 50 feet away from truck, yes, 50 feet, see it in the camera?? Yes. You can also see the two cars on either side that are another 10 feet past the bag.....last pic, image backing into driveway.

Like I said, does what you need, no washout on the image.
