Lol. There's definitely something to be said for leaving it alone.

If you know how to fix issues, troubleshoot, yadda yadda, then something else may be good.

But of you don't want to tinker with it IF it ever needed it, leaving it alone isn't a bad move.

Is there two kinds of SS ballast? TRS said mine do not qualify for replacement and say there is no recall.

Mine were black never seen the gold ones. My black ones failed to fire in extreme cold. I think there was a difference in the thickness of the SS ballasts as well the thinner profile ones are the ones that are flaky, if I'm wrong someone should be by to correct me. Mine defiantly were the black ones that got replaced with DSP ones.

Thanks for the pic! I assume your DSPs are treating you well now? I know you had a corroded connection hope you got that sorted out. Once my weather gets a bit better I'm going to check my connections to make sure I've got all of them well lubed up with the dielectric grease this winter has been brutal with tons of road salt due to all the snow and cold weather.

I've got gold 55's installed for just over a year and they have been flawless.
