I like the 4200 of the SVS (now Nightbreaker) bulbs lol. But after a while I kinda want that color flicker and 5000k back.

Until winter then I will go back to 4200 for those ridiculous heavy snowfall nights.

I can't wait until winter to try my retros! Just got done driving in heavy rain for the first time since I've had then and they are great!

You guys that are doing your projector installs yourself. What kit are y'all using? I have been on TRS now for two days trying to find a kit for a 2014 F-250 Platinum with 9008 OEM bulbs. Looking for the kind you slide through the front and install a nut on the back.

Can you provide a actual link to exactly what needs to be bought? Thanks!

The rain isn't bad at all, but big snow flakes and lots of them you can't see ****. White out. The 5000k morimoto bulbs I had seemed to worsen this effect, making a dark whiteout (above cutoff) more intense.

Since the flakes reflect light the 5000k was like a flood light, but after trying the 4200 it was more of a "piercing" color, it didn't seem to reflect nearly as much and acted like it just cut through the flakes.

Idk. Maybe my 5000k bulbs were worn, maybe its all in my head, but it sold me on a $180 pair of bulbs.

You'll love the increase in visibility of the width and distance in the snow. They REALLY pop in the winter.

That is, literally, everything you need.

MH1 or Mini D2S is what you want.

Good to know!

I have my LEDs with amber covers but now I'm thinking of ditching those to get dedicated amber ones as now with the retros I rarely use the LEDs.

Especially since I have the Hellas and the high beam is like daylight!

I'll wait until winter to invest in the nicer bulbs.

I think I'm about to order the mini h1 kit. Any tips or concerns before I attempt this project?

I love my nightbreaker bulbs, big difference over my previous ones. I have a picture somewhere of the color difference as well but output differences never showed up well in my photos.

Yes, i think those are the ones you're looking for as other projectors like the fx-r require more trimming.
