Haha yeah I figured windchill played no role on that.

They are different generations or models of ballasts supplied by TRS the SS ballasts failed to ignite HID bulbs in extreme cold weather so they are replacing them with the new DSP generation.

Man - that site changes faster'n I kin drink beer!

So, yer SS's were flickerin' eh? Never seen or had that happen (yet).

So we need the Canuckistanian Version - got it.

Cheers, fellow hoser.

They sent me replacements (DSP) after I expressed my concerns over the SS ballasts. I expect you will experience the same level of service.

What did you say to them. I have a full retro kit sitting in the box, which I plan to set up soon. it has the SS ballasts and I don't imagine I will get much use from them. Thanks.

I just told them I have been reading a lot on the forums that the SS ballasts have been failing in cold weather. They didn't hesitate at all, they just offered to send new DSP models.

I personally like the apollo 3.0, if you go on the trs website and look up shrouds, you can filter them "deep" is a filter. Deep just means the will sit further back and cover more of the projector.

Just ordered my new set with the Apollo 3.0 and can't wait to get them. I used to have the Apollo 2 but got into a accident this past weekend
