This is that retrofit thread we talked about!

Shizzle dude. Your heading down the same path as me... Except when both hid lights didn't work on my truck, my wife was driving with our two little girls, only factory fog lights for a 20 min country drive, back roads ... Totally unsafe

So last night I opened up both my headlights and cleaned the perma-seal out. I was actually really expecting to wrestle with them to get them apart. I got each lense pulled off in about 5 minutes per side. I was/am still pretty excited the lights came apart so well. I just baked them at 260 for 16 minutes. Then I pryed the two tabs back at the corner of the turn signal and used a screwdriver to pry the lense up enough to get my fingers underneath. Then I just peeled the lenses back and off. Seemed to easy almost...
I got a little sloppy pulling the first lense off though and smeared some of that perma-seal on the front of the first lense but no biggie... Maybe tomorrow If I get some more free time I can get after these some more.

I typically geek out to much on some of my mods. I made a sound clip video for my exhaust so to keep up the tradition I made one for my retrofitted HIDs. (Bil should put me on his payroll, lol) Some night shots unfortunately not on remote dark roads at this time since I kind of just did this spur of the moment.

Looks good Azuri, I'm guessing the new Ballasts fixed your issue! I would of flashed my brights at the Silver suv that didn't have they're lights on at night!

They should have tested those ballasts in this truck:

Great video. Wow those things are bright and put my stock halogens to shame. I have been considering the 2013 hids but may go the retro route. Seems to me for a few bucks more you get a higher performing light. My only hesitation is reliability.

What I can say about these particular retrofits is they blow away stock halogens I can pull up behind any halogen lit vehicle and flood my lane and their lane to the point the driver next to me appears to have his lights off. Regardless if you go with "premium" components for your retrofit or OEM HID you won't regret the decision over halogen IMO.
