So I'm planning to do this myself. I already bought the lights. TRS recommended using wire but what kind? Also, they said if I wanted to use an alternative use CA glue or epoxy to attach to housing.

A very thin wire from a craft shop probably. Id just heat the tape, and shroud surface with a blowdryer. Then apply the led strip, if it were me!

Post pics, with the finished product. Might convince me into doing it as well!

What do you mean heat the tape? I don't think it has any tape on the back if thats what your mean. If it had 3m tape that would be awesome. I mean why wouldn't it? Aside from heat issues I don't see why it wouldn't work?

If you do use wire to secure led strip to housing do not use bare copper wire.

I bought the c clamp lights when I got my fogs from retrofit. Didn't think $25 for the set wasn't to bad deal, but now I have to build up the confidence to pull apart my headlights to install them and figure out the wiring.
