Yep, my '14 Lariat has it. Always thought it was weird that people talked about no light. Oh well.

I thought about installing a Usb powered light similar to one in link below.

is this for only flow through consoles or the short ones also?

The 14s with a flow through are the only ones that come with it, all the rest... Its ez to add one with much better output!

13 Platinum. FYI: I have a console LED and it changes colors with ambient lighting so this is not exclusive to MY14

Thats not a light its just part of the ambient lighting, all newer KR's, Plattys, and Limiteds have a ambient Lighting color changing led in the console!
