Retrofit 2013 Tow Mirrors on 2011?
I have the 2011 FX4 5.0 and would love to have the new power tow mirrors that are on the new 2013's with the Max Tow package.
Instead of buying a new truck for the mirrors, anyone know if there is a way to have the new mirrors installed on a 2011?
Thanks

I would like a set of the power fold ones but can't seem to bring myself to accept the $600 per side that they cost...I also wonder about the plug-and-play ability of them..Don't know if anyone has done it yet.

You could also just go with the 09+ F-150 tow mirrors. They would bolt right on and look very similar to the Super Duty ones and are roughly the same size. I love the ones on my truck (it came with them)

If they weren't so damn much I would retro them. The only thing is an added switch for the power telescope. I would love to have power telescoping and power fold in a tow mirror on my truck!
Although, I wonder if the power fold would at least work and just plug in.
Looks like we need to find out, then get tasca to do a group buy for $600 a set!

Yea, I was really wanting to get the full power mirrors, I love the power extend feature of the new ones. I just don't know why they never put those on the 150's to begin with

When i bought my 2013, the Tow mirrors were on my truck becuase of Max Tow. I asked dealer if I bought the V8 if they could be swapped out. He said they could if was like $1200-1400 just for the mirrors. He said they could install on V8 but they would only be fold in not telescoping, he said since truck didnt come with it it required a new wire harness to be added for the new mirrors to do all the functions that the mirrors would do on my current truck. The cost was even higher too much for me. But maybe aftermarket products can make them cheaper and less costly to add on with all the functions of the telescoping, heated, power in/out and include the orange light on them. I must admit they are nice mirrors, coming from a Super Duty I knew they were a must for me.
