So even though your truck didn't come with the keypad the wires are still there? I would love to do this.

Yes they are there on an XLT.
I'm not positive but I don't think the wires are there on an XL or an STX. The only option I saw for the XL and STX is the stick on keypad, which is a dealer add on accessory so I don't think the wires are there.
