Default Replacing 2" AS level with height adjustable shocks?

I installed a 2" AS leveling kit on my 2013 4x4 put the spacer marked D on the drivers side and on the drivers side where the ball joint bolts on the spindle it still hits the spring pretty hard and pretty often. I'm thinking about putting on some bilstines, procomps, or ? Would this solve my problem? Any thoughts on best kind? How hard are they to put on? Do I need any special tools?

Thanks

Bilsteins won't fit the issue cause you reuse your factory coil with then. Can't comment on the Procomps, never was a fan of Ranchos. You can do the F150Lifts 5100 coilovers, which are on national back order. You could do there Boss coilovers or even a Fox or King. All of these have smaller diameter springs which would give u more clearance.

Oh, well that's disappointing. Their website says they limit the downward travel so they don't so they don't damage anything?

I have the 1.5 auto spring spacers and don't have any issues, I doubt that .5 inch can cause a problem. I would take them in to a pro to have them look at them.

I have the f150lifts bilstein kit with adjustable coils in the front. All in all it's a great kit. I have 3" in the rear (actually ended up a little higher) and was able to level the front up to that with the 3" setting. Looks and performs great. I should be able to tuck 35's when it's time for new tires.

Default leveling kit issues w 2013 XLT 4x4

Im having issues with my 2013 xlt 4x4 as well. I have the rough country 2.5 leveling kit and actually had the factory install it before i ever even drove it off the lot. its still under warranty and i just had to have my 4x4 fixed because of the leveling kit. guy at Ford place told me that my front tires wouldnt even turn when they are off the ground and insisted that i dont put my truck in 4 wheel drive until i have the kit removed or else warranty wouldnt fix it again. Im thinking about going with the bilstein 5100's......any thoughts? I want at least 2'' up front above factory

No matter what "system" you use to level your truck, unless you add brackets to drop the LCA and any other components on the lower end, you're going to limit your downward travel. This is because your LCA can only pivot so far downward, and whether it's a spacer or a longer shock/strut, you're lowering the angle of your LCA. If your UCA is hitting anything on full downward travel, that likely won't be changed either by going with an extended shock/strut vs. a spacer.

For reference, when going with a 4" lift or more (full kits, not just spacers), you get "drop brackets" to lower the LCA, as well as getting new, longer/taller steering knuckles etc. so that the "geometry" and/or "angles" of the components stays very close to factory, and your travel distances both up/down remain relatively unchanged. That's one of the true benefits of going with a "lift kit" vs. a "leveling kit".

About the only thing you will 'gain' by going with the bilstiens or other longer/adjustable shocks/struts is a better ride quality ... but the overall geometry of the suspension will be same/same as an equivalent spacer kit.

Could i just go with this kit or something similar? I wouldnt mind 3'' up front but dont want more than 2.5'' n the rear. I planned to install the firestone ride rite air bags should i need a fix for the squatting if i was towing/hauling something.

Yes you can. We have the Bilstein, or Boss, or Fox available. Rear blocks are your choice: 2.0" , 2.25", or 2.5".
