Default Replacement headlight lens?

Hello all,

I was upgrading my headlight bulbs to LED last night. While I had the headlight assembly off, something caught my eye...there were tabs all around just the headlight lens, and it looked as if it is removable.

My lenses look in rough shape. I did a treatment with this...

Amazon Amazon

but it only got me so far. It didn't have the desired results, and it certainly didn't make the headlights look like new again.

This morning, I got to googling, and I just am not finding any replacement lenses for our era of F150. Seen some for other eras, and other trucks, but not my beloved '09 F150. I've been shown in the past that my search skills aren't the greatest, so I thought I'd ask here to see if I'm missing something.

Resto kits should be able to get your back to clear again, post a pic, it's probably missing a step.

You can't buy the 'lens' on it's own, they're not lenses anymore, just clear plastic, these are reflector tech, the lens being moved to the chrome part behind the bulb instead. You can buy the replacement headlight units though, not too cheap, depending on how bad they look it might be worth it.

Sorry about the pics. I'm not much of a photographer, and it is super bright out here today in the desert (don't envy; we pay severely for it from May to September). I followed the directions in the following video...or I thought I did, anyway

Would you say that's on the outside? If so, doesn't look like you went through the first stages enough. Some side on shots looking across the surface would help.

Here's pix I just took. I cleaned them up again last night. An improvement, but still not showroom quality.

Seems like a lot of dust on the edges, is that from your work or part of the problem?

Also seems like you're just not working it enough if a second go improved it.

My shoulders would disagree with the analysis of my not working it enough.

Not what i meant. I meant the polish wasn't being worked enough (let the polish do the work, not your shoulders )

Either way, that's all dependent on what this is in your pictures, is that stuff on the surface, or under the outer plastic?

Also, check this video, i can't remember where megs came in, some kits are really not that effective, and that might be your problem here.

I can't answer with certainty. I do know that when I run my hand over it I don't feel roughness or bumps or anything.
