Default Replace Sunglasses Holder with Switch Panel

Hi,

Did anyone mod their overhead dual sunglasses holder to convert one to an overhead switch panel? Would like to retain one and convert one.
2012 F-150 XLT SuperCrew.

Thanks,

Rick

You could do something like this. They also make a lower one for under the radio if you search "Uplander switch" for your truck.

Thanks,

It would seem getting a wiring harness, or wires for accessories would be more challenging to run there compared to the lower console. But I do like your idea of it being overhead. Adding a four switch module is possible by cutting and adding it to the current cover.

@KustomFX a vendor on this forum offers some nice panels for that type of modification.

Love my setup. Came with the wire harness already made and labeled though it was nerve racking cutting into the headliner. Been using these for 3 years or so with no issues.

@rscalzo Welcome to the forum. Google Image search pointed me toward KustomFX.

KustomFX switches. I believe he is a member on here but I found him through YouTube.

If you send him a email at lethalweapon09@yahoo.com he’ll send you all the info that you’ll need on his switch panel setups. From what I remember he has 3 different switch options and you can choose what logo you want if you even want one. It was a little pricey as I paid around $175 IIRC and that was back in ‘22. That said quality is top notch and haven’t had any issues with the setup.
