im sure somebody on this site has done so, is it just some clips or what? thanks and what is a great site to get different grille emblems from?

 

I moved mine from the stock grill to the HD grill. There are a couple of nuts, and some clips of sorts, can't remember the details, but it was a bitch to get them to turn loose so I obviously didn't master them....

 

Yeah its a plastic stud and a metal speed nut that makes its own threads. Also after taking them off its a pain as it the grille still holds tight and takes finessing off the emblem from the grille. Believe it or not even with the grille off it was the hardest part of the grille swap. What a PITA!

 

Well Ive heard all the horror storys. Last weekend got sick of lookin at the false advertising ford uses as a chrome packageall it is chrome clading. But every ford salesman swears its diped in real chrome. Bull ****
Sorry. The 6 upper grille nuts remove them, there are two black grille braces remove the two lower grille nuts and bolts. Bring your hood down place something soft between the hood and the inner fender, so the grille is chest high and place your hands along the grille sides and gentely pop it up and off. it took me 10 min. Now that ignerant grille badge, remove the nuts you will see the fresh cut threads look closely on the two outer posts there are biter clips, remember they put these things on so they dont fall off or make it easy for us to get them off. I used a hammer tapped each post equealy and it came off, Painted it did everything in reverce order and she was good to go. hope this helps GOOD LUCK.
