Default Removing Ecoboost badge

So Im finally getting around to detailing my '12 Lariat and I want to take off the Eco badges. What's the trick in doing this? Do I need a heat gun or do they just peel off?

Ok so I got the badge off with fishing line. How do I get the left over adhesive off without damaging my paint?

Zippo Lighter Fluid works great for residue as well. I've used it on virtually every material imaginable, and it doesn't damage anything. I've used it on vehicles in the past, and used it on my last truck to remove pin stripes. Worked flawlessly, and caused no damage whatsoever.

As far as badges though, I just replaced the ones on my truck, and I wish I would have spent the time to put a hair dryer to it. For the most part, the badges came off the tape, and the tape stayed on the truck. Took quite a while to get that crap off, even with a mixture of chemicals.

Thanks for the tips guys. I managed to get all the residue off by letting some bug and tar remover soak in. A little elbow grease finished the job. Paint still looks great. Thanks again!
