Default Truck won't start

OK,

I have a 1 month old Fx2 with about 1100 miles on the clock. Not a problem till this morning. Go out and put the key in. Lights are on, gauges doing their gauge thing and the ding ding ding thingy is a dingin'. I turn the key to start and nothing. As if I'm not even trying. Doesn't even attempt to start and no extra drain on the battery. I called my local Ford dealer and the service guy says they can't look at it today but I can call a tow company and have it towed in and they will let me pay the tow bill when I pick it up after repairs. I said "I told you it is a 2011 with 1100 miles on it." ":Why would I pay for the tow?" His answer was "Uhhhh, you would need to talk to the warranty people." I then asked how fast they can get it looked at. again he started a sentence with "Uhhhh" and went on to inform me they were busy and may get to it tomorrow. I can tell that this isn't their number 1 guy so I asked if he could find out from a tech if there is something I might be missing. Something simple that would get it running again. A few minutes later he asked if I tried jumping it. "No, it seems to have full battery. The lights are bright and all are working" I told him. He then suggested I call for roadside assistance to get it jumped.

So, could the truck be low on battery to the point that it would make no attempt at starting but still appear to have a full battery.

Is there something simple that I could do to get it going?

Am I just being an annoying customer and expecting to much from them.
I understand that they are busy people but they could at least train the guy on basic warranty info.

Ummm listen to your dealer you should jump it. Lights may be on etc but that doesnt mean the battery isnt low. In modern vehicles the starter wont even try if there isnt enough current. Ergo the lights will be on but no cranky cranky.

I'll leave that to roadside assistance then.

That brings up another issue. Why would the battery go low after sitting for 10 hrs with nothing on or plugged into the axillary outlets.

No, you are not being unreasonable or an annoying customer... a 1 month old truck should not have that sort of problem at all. My only guess as to the cause of the problem would be -the starter is somehow disconnected or fried completely, -the solenoid for the starter is somehow fried / disconnected, or there is some kind of computer issue? Are there any CEL or indicators lit up on the dash?

Dash lights looked fine but since it never would start I couldn't get past the basic lights that you get went the key is in the on position and not started.

It's days like this I miss the Falcon.

That, is the true question! Once started run it around to charge the battery if it happens again then you may have a bad alternator of there is something drawing current that you are not aware of, or a bum battery. On my past RL, they had a defective electrical connection on the electric trunk opener (a little button on the trunk). After some frustration Acura figured out that they had a defective batch that drained batteries. Its interesting because the f150 have auto battery shut down systems to prevent exactly that. In my expirience they serve more to annoy than to protect the battery. Try to run the radio with the engine off for more than 20 min, the annoy message comes on and everything turns off
Good luck, but dont dispair its probably a simple thing BTW it most certainly wouldnt have happened if you had an ecoboost........

Oh yea, well my dead 5.0 is 10 times faster than any dead Ecoboost so there. Besides I'm thinking of buying like 5 of those Tornado things so that should up my power by like 50% and get me around 45 mpg.

Might be the parking interlock switch. Make sure it is fully engaged in park. I'd shift it out of park and back in to see if maybe the switch just didn't set.

One of the first things I did. Tried to start it in neutral as well.
