Default Remote Start Question

Need some help please. Just purchased a 2013 F-150 Platinum and noticed that once the timer runs out when using the remote start the heater is off when I get in.
If I get in and the time has run out and the truck is still running the heater is still on.
I tried it in auto and last setting modes and no difference is this the norm?

Your question reads as if your confused about the fact that your heater isn't running when your truck shuts off due to time on the remote start. Is this what you're asking?

After the time runs out when using the remote start and the truck shuts off and when I get in a starting manually the heater is off and had to be turned back on. You would think that when you start the truck the heater should come on and not have to be turned back on.

So are you trying to say the heater is left in a position and is activated while remote started, then when you manually turn on the vehicle the HVAC controls have to be cycled back on because they shut down after the vehicle's remote start times out?

Yes! I set the remote start to five min run time in the info center and remote started the truck to see what happens and once the I've min was up the truck shut off. I started it with the key and the heater was off and wasn't where it was set before.

Not trying to be a smartass, but is it really that big of a hassle to just turn the controls back on by pressing one button...?

Are you using the auto settings? Try it with the manual settings.
