Mine does this on occasion. Usually if I have not done a key start since opening the hood. A key start always fixes it, albeit temporarily.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's worked perfectly for the two weeks I've owned the truck until yesterday. I wonder if the hood sensor or something is acting funky.

Same thing has happened to me in the past two weeks. Worked fine since we bought it, now it's hit n miss. The lock button on the remote isn't working every time either. The truck is 6 months old, maybe the battery in the remote is dying. I bet it's the cheapest cell they could put in there so it could be half dead.

Mine did it if I turned the truck off inadvertently without putting the truck in park. Like everyone else said a key start will fix a lot of things.

Also like ONTF221 said going into the menu and turning if off and back on can work too. I had my memory seats not work and turning if off and back on worked for me. It's worth a shot.

Good Luck!

Silly question.
Have you replaced any of your internal lights with LEDs?

When I intiially replaced my Front map lights with LEDs (crappy quality ones) my auto start would trigger the 'door open' response.
Figured the LEDs were the issue as when I replaced with stock bulbs... it worked again.

Got a better setof LEDs and tried the auto-start... no issues.

Just tossing this out there *** a scenario I went through and if it helps... all the better.

I got LEDs inside...they probably been in there for 5 months before the remote issue.

We're all being tracked, wrap your antennas in aluminum foil!

The last time this happened, my CEL was on and off to the dealer I went.

No led lights. No cel. Just honked and wouldn't start. It's worked fine so far today. Who knows. Electrical brain fart I guess.

You remote start your truck around where I live you may as well be dialing 911 at the same time because your truck is going to gone like yesterday.
