Default remote start issues

i have a 13 f150 plat with all the options possible including ecoboost..
very simply .. one day my remote start worked .. and the next day it didnt..

i have checked battery in the remote.. and all the door locks and such ..
when i go to use it .. the horn beeps and it does not start...

any ideas? suggestions? thoughts?

Mine did that to me a few times when it was new. Make sure that all the doors and hood is closed. Check to see that the hood switch is not bent, I have read that is sometimes the problem.

i did and thought it was good
ill double check today ...

if its not bent .. any one have any other ideas?

Mine has done that a few times. I thought it was the battery getting low and causing the remote to foul up the signal.

Mine would try to start and then cut off then the remote would not work at all for a few mins, even for locks. Changing the batt seem to fix it.

If the security system is set off it will honk twice and not start (I think)

Its a common issue with these. They are hit or miss, with a range of 100' maybe less. Very frustrating.

i have stood right in front of the truck and had it happen
hasent worked in about 2 weeks... at first i thought cause it was too cold out .. thats when it started happening ... but didnt make sense since its designed to start the truck lol .. especially in the cold lol

ill check hood and see what i find i guess

hood switch is fine and not stuck .. and bracket is not bent ..
any other suggestions?

Had this happen to me. I used my spare, turned on my truck, turned it off then tried again with my spare. Started up without horn.

Mine does this intermittently as well...no rhyme nor reason to it. I agree...very frustrating!

yup no luck ... 2 weeks now.. i mean its a cute toy to have for the truck .. and cause its a platinum i feel like everything should work since its a top of the line truck.. but honestly if its the only thing on the truck that doesnt work lol.. i can live without it

id just like to fix it if i can
