has anybody installed a remote (auto) start on a 2010. been looking for one any info would be greatly apreciated,....name brand,links,etc.

I had a CoolStart system installed in my wife's Mercury Mariner and really like it. I am planning on having the same or similar unit installed in my truck. The newer 'two-way' systems are the way to go, in that it signals back to you when your vehicle has started.

The one I had installed in the Mariner was about $450 installed.

 

I had the Viper 5301 installed on my 2010 F-150 about 2 months ago and love it. The range is great and the 2 way feature is very nice.

 

I installed a remote start / alarm unit when I purchased my new 2010 ... Got it from the directly Ford Dealership and it was installed before delivery ... I had heard all sorts of horror stories about the install problems with the door keypad setting alarms off etc ... I'm oversea right and cannot recall the brand name ... works great does everything as advertised ... Live in Louisiana and it sure is nice to get into a cool truck after a hard day at the golf course ..
