Well all you need is a WiFi connection for the App to work, only the truck needs a cell signal. I think I saw a WiFi logo in one of the ISS videos, so i stand by my stretched reality

Wifi is completely different than cell phone signal 3g, 4g, etc. If they have a direct connection to the internet then yeah it's very possible.

According to the TSB it's only for 13-14 but it's been my experience same systems would likely benefit. But who knows for sure? All I can say is try it and see.
