Default Is paint covered under warrenty?

Washed my truck yesterday and noticed my paint is peeling near my fender! WTF Ford!

Is paint covered under warrenty?-image-1757470538.jpg

I'm a die hard Ford guy, this is my 4th Ford truck and 7th Ford vehicle. And this one is by far this ****tiest built and the most expensive. From rattles, paint chipping, power folding mirrors not always working, drivetrain slack, taillights and headlights fogging up, A/C not cold cold, etc

Could be covered (?) Will need to contact your local, friendly dealership.

Excerpted from the owner's warranty ...
(3) Your vehicle’s body sheet metal panels are covered for an extended Corrosion Coverage Period, which lasts for five years, regardless of miles driven. The extended warranty coverage only applies if a body sheet metal panel becomes perforated due to corrosion during normal use due to a manufacturing defect in factory-supplied materials or factory workmanship. For damage caused by airborne material (environmental fallout) where there is no factory-related defect involved and therefore no warranty - our policy is to provide free repair of paint damage due to the airborne material for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

Yes it is covered. I should know. I do lots of warranty paint work. Thing is some dealers are douche bags, and may say that you caused that.

The head/tails condensation is normal, as it's outlined in the owners manual

If that's covered I'm takin mine in for some work as well... I've got 2 HUGE pieces of debris in the pair on mine (big enough to catch a wash mitt) in my cab corner that I've been dealing with bc I'm sure only rust through would be covered.

Sanded and buffed 3 nibs out of a '14 Taurus yesterday. Took me 5 minutes, it was under warranty.

But like I said before, get a douche bag dealer, and you never know what they will deny. We approve most everything at my work. Haven't seen a warranty denial yet at this place

Hey Z7What,

Shoot me your info in a PM; I'm going to move this up the chain to your regional customer service manager. In your message, include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll get this into the hands of folks who can help.

Crystal

I got 3 areas on my truck, 2 on the tail gate, bubbled up and chipped and one like yours on front right quarter panel..this is what I found on truck a day after purchase. The top roof rails are bubbled but dealer said it was normal,, after others posted the same I was ok with that. Dealer mixed me up some touch up and I added to the areas. It did ok, in time between rocks, or scratches its hard to keep trucks in mint condition,, there trucks I like to call them battle scars..

I just bought my truck and there are drips hanging from the drivers side door where the paint ran when it was over sprayed. They just dried and hardened.
