It is what it is. I've looked at several different systems and that one is the only 1 that seems to be the easiest to install and operate and have cell phone access. That may change in the next 6 months though so it's just a starting point for now.
Come this December when the system goes offline I'll splurge for a xmas present to my self with it or another solution if one presents itself. I'm not ready to sell my truck in the next 5 years, only have 21k on it in the last 7 so it's still basically a new truck.
Buy it and try it. I seriously doubt it though, still have to have the network support and that is a module for the newer trucks. Ford had a system for older Fords to retrofit them and use the Ford Pass app. They discontinued it a year after they started it.

LOL. I did see about the retrofit part and it being discontinued. That would have been nice.
Has anyone had any luck getting in touch with VoxxAutomotive for a partial subscription refund? When I call 1-800-FORDKEY Opt.1 the rep transfers me to Voxx, but I either sit in a queue that appears to go to nobody, or the call drops after a few seconds. They also don't respond to the support@voxxautomotive.com address listed on their website.
So I went ahead and ordered the kit from 12 volt solutions that was mentioned earlier in this thread. Install took me a little over 30 minutes, but that’s only because it was 28 degrees with a wind chill of 14 degrees by me. I had to keep going in to warm up my hands.
But the kit was really simple to install. 12 volt solutions has a support hub that has step by step videos to watch during installation, as well as programming. I also opted to get the cellular access, and that was easy to program also. I didn’t take pictures because it was too freaking cold out for that, but these systems are really easy to install.
I have an iPhone and watch, and the app works great on both of them.
I had also ordered the cellular kit for my wife’s 2011 Honda Pilot, and that was even simpler since you don’t have to hook into the OBD2 port. I think I had hers done in under 20 minutes.
The only pic I have is of the app on my phone. But if anyone’s on the fence about the kit, just go do it!
