Hoods used to be installed with a light. Man that used to come in handy. Think that will be my next mod

Yeah I remember the magnetic lights that would pull out of reel And it had 5 or 6 feet of cord so you take it to any spot under the hood. Those were great!!

+1. My '98 F-150 had a light which made both adding washer fluid in the driveway, as well as roadside jumps a lot better.

I believe Rams have under the hood lights. At least I think I remember reading that in the last pickuptrucks.com article about their review for the Outdoorsman. Never checked under the hood of my step-dad's Ram

I have a couple bed lights on the shelf that I have been meaning to put on the underside of my hood. They have a switch that will turn them on when the hood opens. Or also just a button if you don't want to use the switch. They ate for toolboxs

Yeah, they work great!

My '96 Grand Cherokee has one. However, it is becoming a problem now that the vehicle is 15 years old. The Jeep seems to be broken so much and since I seem to be busy all the time, I will leave the hood open for a few days in a row and if I don't unplug the light it will run the battery down!
