not exactly. some knowledge is power. there's a lot of meaningless drivel out there. many of the emoticon smilies are yellow. did that empower you?

in what way was your post beneficial to the op? to scare him into removing the tune? for what reason? because a few people had issues that may or may not have had anything to do with a tune.(issues that some untuned people have run into btw). if there had been a rash of tuned ecoboost failing that pointed at the tunes as being the culprit your post would be justified.

as it is its just fear mongering because there is no practical purpose to anything you posted.

next time someone buys a new 5.0 f150 why don't you crash that thread and post a link to the thread where the guy had to have his 5.0 short block replaced. it will serve the same purpose.

to the op, enjoy your tune! thinking about getting one myself.

I would really love a tune for my EcoBoost, I too have the super heavy 157" long version. But since I use my truck for a living, I can't afford the motor to grenade.

My custom tune shows less knock retard than either the stock tune or the canned SCT tune. And the AFR is better and cat temps are also less than either the stock or canned SCT tune. I would say that is a pretty good indication it's probably safer tuned than not.

Re-gearing for larger and heavier tires is the only proper way to gain back lost performance. I have a 2014 Eco Screw FX4 incoming which will go from the dealer to 4Wheel Parts for lift, tires(35s) and gears(4.10s). My current Silverado with 35s runs 4.56s due to it only having the 4 speed auto. Tuning for power loss from larger tires is a band aid fix.

I understand I should regear but now that I haved tuned my truck I went from no tire spin and decent acceleration to burning rubber into 3rd gear and crazy acceleration. My truck overall runs way better. The only problem I do have now is axle wrap at WOP but I only did that for data logging.

Enjoy the tune. I also get the wheel hop but just control it by not mashing the go pedal quite so far. I'll probably get air bags when the weather gets a little warmer since I also tow a boat pretty frequently. They have helped everyone who has added them so far.

Agreed.

OP - too funny, Enjoy! A tuned EB is like having a whole new and different engine. I imagine the boys with blowers atop their V8's would agree.
