Default Rehearing 4.6 on 38s

hey guys I have a 2010 f150 with a 2v 4.6 v8 and I'm running 11.5" of lift and 38x15.50r22 and cannot decide what gear ratio to run. I want to try to get the best mpg I can along with good acceleration

Are you serious? MPG should not even be a thought in your head with that lift and tires.

I would think either 4.88 or 5.13 more towards the 5.13 with the motor you have.

Worrying about MPGs with this set up?! 😂 That 4.6 is no where near the appropriate size motor to be running that set up so like someone above me said, 4.88s AT LEAST but more than likely 5.13. Also, can you post a pic please. I'm intrigued.

I say 4.88's and mileage is a non-issue, since it can't be controlled.

With that engine and tire combo neither are practical.

Ik I can't get great mpg I just want the best I can get. I know I can do better than 7 mpg. 4.88s is what I was thinking. I do not remember how to post pics it's been over a year since I've been on the forums but if someone can tell me how I'd be glad too. And I know for sure with the right gearing I'll be able to pull them fine. Any motor can pull any tire if geared correctly. Thanks for the replys

The only thing I was worried about with 4.88s is my highway mpg dropping due to the higher rpm my motor will be running at. Right now it sets at 2000 rpms at 65-70mph. With 4.88s I'm guessing it will set at around 2800 rpms.
