Regular Cab Trucks - REAL Trucks!
Let's see those regular/standard cab 12th gen trucks. You know what I'm talking about. The real trucks. Not those 4-door sissy mobiles with heated leather seats, running boards and flat screen TV's. Let me see some of your trucks. Also, if anyone has any idea on a good way to carry an over-sized spare tire other than laying one in the bed let me know. I can't fit an over-sized tire beneath my bed.
Here is my 2013 XL F-150. It has the always reliable 5.0 with 3.73 gears, tow package and of course is 4x4.
A little about my truck as it was bought:
1) 2013 Ford F-150 XL standard cab with 8 foot bed
2) 4x4 with tow package.
3) 5.0 V8 (I stand firm behind this motor and I still believe it is the best Ford makes).
4) 3.73 gears
5) 10 miles on odometer at time of purchase
6) Vermillion Red
7) Sync system
8) Vinyl floor
9) Cloth seats with center folding arm rest
10) 36 gallon fuel tank
What I've added since purchase:
1) Bed Rug bed liner - excellent liner, takes a beating, easy to clean, comfortable to sleep on, think bass boat carpeting with a little more padding
2) Fuel Hostage wheels - love the look and all black to hide dust/dirt/grease
3) 315/70/17 Nitto Trail Grappler tires - great tires, looks great, quiet considering tire type and size, wearing well with over 30,000 on them, could be better in rain
4) 2 inch front level - allowed me to fit larger tires with zero cutting into metal, only needed to removes inner wheel-well dust shield.
5) Westin HDX grill guard - big *** grill guard, great for mounting lights, looks great
6) Westin tail light guards - guards are sturdy but supplied screws and holes do not work, with some home engineering I made it happen, looks good
7) Mictuning 32 inch LED light bar - very bright, mounted on grill guard, has saved me from hitting multiple deer
8) Mictuning 8 inch LED light bar - under hood, fits perfect in screw holes already on hood, lights up under hood area magnificently
9) Extang tri fold tonneau cover - Has held up over 5 years. I would like to get a rolling cover that leaves bed rail stake holes accessible
10) Rough Country tube mounting clamps - work like a charm to hold the 32 inch LED bar on the grill guard
11) Hella fog lights - fit perfectly in the lower rectangle section of the grill guard. I wanted KC lights but they wouldn't fit in that area. Hella was a great 2nd option.
12) KC HiLites tube clamp mounts - coincidentally I needed these mounts for the bar to hold my Hella lights in place. They work great.
13) Mictuning & Auto Sonic wiring harnesses - Used these on all my lights, no issues to report, I go on amazon and get what I need for the best price.
14) Cobra 29 LTD classic CB radio with a 5 foot Fire Stick antenna mounted to my drivers-side fender. Using Fire Stick brand Fire Ring coax cable and a Cobra brand power mic - because who the hell doesn't want a CB radio?
15) Flowmaster Super 10 muffler (one in / two out) cat back exhaust with black exhaust tips. - Weld that ****, don't used screws and clamps like the magazines try to sell you. If I didn't live somewhere with emissions testing the cats would be gone.
16) Hypertech tuner/speedometer calibrator - got everything in check perfectly when I switched to bigger tires
17) Locking gas cap cover - bought this for looks and some added security.
18) Bilstein 5100 rear shocks. The stock ones bit the dust. As they weren't that great to begin with I am definitely impressed they exceeded 100,000 miles.
19) Hood protector & bug/stone deflector (WeatherTech)

He posts another thread he talks about how crappy these trucks are, and how his next truck will be a Chevrolet. And then he posts this thread, where he posts his base model work truck talking about how great it is. I don't get it.

I have a "sissy" truck.....I didn't know that....I will let this "sissy" truck out work all of the "non-sissy" trucks and praise it for being a "sissy"
Also leather is beautiful to clean when you actually get your truck dirty....

Maybe you need a spare tire/hitch setup from one of those sissy-mobile Raptors. A 315/70/17 spare fits in my truck just fine. Some guys even mange to squeeze the "37" inch tall KO2s under there too.
