Yes. You're already paying a lot for that, what's an upgrades tune right?
I did mine in advance and programmed it the moment I picked up my truck with the new 4.11 gears.

Went in today for my quote .. $2700.00..
they are telling me go with 4.11 over 4.56 like I originally wanted ..
what do you all think ?
Are they correct ?
Mid 4.56 to talk of a Gear for 34.5 bfg Goodrich on 20s ?

If you tow a lot, have moderate elevation changes, or thoughts of bigger tires 4.56 100% imo. This is coming from a guy with 4.10's.
Yes you'll have to change the tune to correct the speedo. You're tuner will be able to do that or you may have the option to do so depending on your tuning platform.

With a 34.5" tire, the 4.10's are the better choice. Your 6 speed transmission has a very deep first and a fairly low second gear. You have plenty of lower gears. With the older 4 speed I'd say get the 4.56's and take the MPG hit, thats what I did with my '05. With the 6 speed you can have the best of both worlds. Get the 4.10's.

Ask yourself some important questions to answer which gears to get. As for the tune, yes it will be needed after a regear.
Which motor do you have?
What do you do/How do you use the truck?
Do you plan to tow regularly with your truck?
Do you have plans for future improvements on tire size?
How much weight have you added with wheels/tires/ added rolling resistance?
IMO go with the 4.56's. As someone with the 4.56's on 13 5.0 Lifted with 35's, there would be no other option. No I don't tow regularly, but enough to warrant the extra depth, it is my daily driver on interstates that average 75 MPH speed limits, no it's not way overkill as people make it sound. I average 2000-2100 cruising @ 75. I wanted room if I ever went up in size, and I run M/T tires. With the extra weight of the lift components, wheels, tires... 4.11's would be pointless. for me at least, but thats just my .02 cents.
