Reg Cab vs SCab 09-13 F150?

The extra room in the Scab comes in very handy, I didn't need a Screw and a regular cab looked nice but not as useful in my opinion. My understanding is that the regular cab depreciates a lot faster than the Scab or Screw.

I had regular cab trucks up until 2006, always 8' bed, then went to extended cab , haven't looked back it's nice to pack up the kids and go to hunting club for some off roading.

If you're looking for space without sacrifcing bed size SCAB is a nice choice. However, I regret having an SCAB as I want the space of the SCREW but the current bed size on my SCAB, the 6.5ft.

When I was shopping around for a reliable replacement DD, I knew the only way I would find myself in a F-150 is if I could find a regular cab, short bed model. In my opinion, SCabs are nice, but between those and SCrews, I didn't like how those were becoming the new norm for trucks. I like the small, sportiness of a small truck with a big(ish) motor, and the fact that reg cabs aren't as popular as they once were, I like the uniqueness. I eventually found my Reg Cab 5.0 exactly how I wanted it. Nothing more than I need, but everything I wanted. Sure, spacing inside is tight at times, but nothing I can't manage. I have no kids, no people to haul, and anything I need to haul, I can throw in the back. Its great for driving in the city and suburbs due to its size and nimbleness and its a blast to drive. If I ever get another F-150, it'll definitely be another regular cab, hopefully aluminum bodied though.

My last two daily drivers have been SuperCabs and they're perfect for me. An occasional extra passenger or two, my dog most days, or somewhere to put a couple overnight bags out of the weather. Both trucks are 145"wb/6.5' bed. I find this to be a very useful compromise. Everything in life's a compromise.
