I had this:
Amazon.com: SUPER LOUD Stebel Nautilus Compact Twin Air Horn; Universal for Cars, Trucks, Boats, ATVS, Motorcycles and Scooters: Automotive Amazon.com: SUPER LOUD Stebel Nautilus Compact Twin Air Horn; Universal for Cars, Trucks, Boats, ATVS, Motorcycles and Scooters: Automotive
It was loud enough but woulnt respond fast enough to "chirp" when i set the alarm. The 4note set-up will make you jump out of your skin.

I had a Stebel on my ST1300 (motorcycle). It sounds like a Ferrari horn. A little loud, but a bit... well, "squeaky", if you know what I mean. So, I installed a pair of Freeway Blasters as well. Now THAT was a nice loud set up. I called them my "incontinental horns". Yep, hit them next to a BDC (Brain Dead cager) and they would.... well, lose their continence

What is it about 139dB that people would rather spend more money on 120dB or 123dB horns?

That's what I have on my bike lol. Great horn but not deep enough of a tone for a truck in my opinion.

Thanks for the replies. looks like a pair of freeway blasters (one high and one low) with a relay is just what I am looking for.

I went with this:

Amazon.com: Wolo (619) Big Bad Max Air Horn - 12 Volt: Automotive Amazon.com: Wolo (619) Big Bad Max Air Horn - 12 Volt: Automotive

This horn has a deep tone, not a high pitch like the other one referenced...sounds closer to a big rig horn.

i also kept one of the oem horns (of the two) installed and just used the same bracket although I had to bend it a little. Here is a pic of my install:

So with both the oem and bad boy wired in, there is no doubt when I trigger the horns.

THIS!! I have the 4-note Caddy horns on two cars. My wife loves them on her tiny Toyota Matrix.

Here's the install I did on my little old Nissan Hardbody. Each horn has a mounting bracket. They ground via the bracket, so make sure its a solid mount.

I love them!

I went with Kleinn Air Horns. Not ridiculously loud, but loud. Plus, I now have an onboard air compressor that does good pumping up a tire. Plus, will make air suspension install easy.

Remember, it's likely that you already have the Freeway Blasters as OEM. Just add a 2nd set...
