I had my 2012 5.0 done this past Tuesday, took about 45 minutes total from getting there to leaving. Truck shifts great and never had any downshift problems to begin with. This is just insurance that it will not drop into low gears if the OSS fails. Lets hope it does work if that happens. Still loving my truck.

I’ve noticed 1st to 2nd is a little firmer at times.

I had my 13 5.0 done yesterday when I had it in for oil change.

The only thing I noticed about the way the truck ran, was that the idle was a little rough for a while after.
No changes at all in the way it shifts that I noticed. I had no prior evidence of the lead frame problem.

I did notice that my DTE was changed, and the audio settings (bass, treble, fader) were reset to default, and some other Sync settings were back to default.
Also my clock was off by about 5 minutes.

I returned my 2013 5.0 to stock to take in but the line into the service bay was out the street, over 30 minutes just to drop off so finding another time to take in. In removing the MPT tune, she sure drives like a pig now - can't wait to get this recall done and then have MPT provide tune update as stock/factory tune is unbearable after getting used to MPT performance tune.

I would think with 3.31’s it would be a pig.

I don’t have an hour to waste at a stealership, ford can come to my house if this is important.
If it causes a wreck, I’ll sue them, I never received a letter, I’ve moved three times since buying this vehicle.

ps, this is the first AT vehicle I have ever owned, I hate it.
I want my standard shift transmission back!
This problem could never happen on a standard shift!

Told them fix whatever it was and they tried to charge me diagnostic fee whenever my truck was just fine before. This morning I went back and got it she said they reprogrammed it and I didn’t have to pay. It is a LITTLE better but still not how it was before I got this recall done. You guys think they’ll redo mine once everything is fixed? Really not happy with it right now

I believe I am having the same issue. My recall was done this past Saturday. I went straight home and when backing up into my garage the truck shut off. Taking off in 1st for the first 2 days was very off/on. On Monday the car shut off when idling at a light. This has never happened before the recall. Perhaps it is post hoc.... Anyways, Ford said there were multiple codes when I dropped it back off however my dash showed ZERO codes. Today I received a call that the truck needed a fuel pump kit/relocation kit, which supplied a larger fuse for fuel pump. They claim the fuel pump is overheating. It has never done that before. I told them I will be there to pick up the truck and do the repair myself. That said I'm skeptical that the recall is not causing my issue.

You won't sue anyone, courthouses mandate no guns.

Get an advanced code reader if you want to see everything. There are MANY codes that do not show on the dash.

Fuse 27 issue is completely separate from the transmission recall. And a good idea to fix, regardless.
