Recall Notice - Transmission
Received a recall letter for transmission downshifting abruptly to 1st gear. Seems to be a long reported issue but it didn't give me a TSB number and mentions when a software update becomes available they will send me another letter. I seemed to recall this was already being fixed for some people. What is the number I need to give Ford Dealer to get this resolved.

Got mine today also. Ford recall 19S07 and NHTSA Recall 19V-075
Software fix in development. stand by. |

I just stopped in to a Ford dealer and was told they could not yet fix the issue with 2013 or newer. Was told NO Ford dealer can do it yet. Seems a bit odd to me.

Recall: transmisson
I got the letter last week, and Ford dealer took it right in and did PCM reprogram.

There’s reports in some of the other threads on this topic that they don’t have the update for ecoboost trucks. I don’t know where you are but this is accurate is SW Ontario. |
Just called my local dealer after receiving the recall for my '11 5.0. They told me Ford is having problems with the software. Service rep said call back in 2 weeks
