Thanx so much for posting. Part numbers are identical to mine which was performed on August 16th, 2016. I guess I have to assume the new redesigned master cylinder (MC) part number is the same as the original MC#. Although if I check for MC# @ fordparts.com, there is no difference between #'s for the ecoboost or 5.0. I thought the new MC was only for the ecoboost (??). At this point I'm still confused. Still have gotten no response from Ford HQ or the dealer on how they can positively identify that my MC is the redesigned one. I guess we take their word for it and hope to "whatever" that we never have another brake failure. I guess if we do, and something catastrophic happens, my kids won't want for anything in their future!

Got my letter as well. Don't guess there's any chance they are giving out loaners while it's being worked on? I have to drive for work, so I'm not sure how this is going to work.

Not positive, but I don't think so. Something about vacuum pressure (??) on the ecoboost. I believe an earlier post explains the problem with the 3.5 engines. BTW, still no response from my dealership or Ford. great customer relations. Been a dedicated Ford owner since , forever, why they won't confirm this repair is correct is beyond me. I'm thinking because they can't!

I had an 8:00 appt this morning. About 90 mins into the appt the SA came and told me they were going to replace the booster also but wouldn't have the part until later today. They gave a 2016 XLT loaner and said they would call when my Lariat was ready.

I had mine done on Wednesday. Less than an hour from giving them the keys to getting it back. But that's when the problems started. Get into the truck and the check engine light is on. Go back in and the tech goes out and he forgot to plug the MAF sensor back in. So the lights off and I leave. I should have looked under the hood myself. I get home and notice my horn doesn't work. Which it did before the work was done. So I open the hood and see the tech never bolted the air box and coolant expansion tank back down. So I had to bring the truck back in to the dealer first thing in the morning where it took another hour to put two bolts in. Then they can't figure out why the horn doesn't work and say it's a bad horn and order me a new one. So I have to make a third trip next week to get the horn put in. I hate having the dealer do any work to the truck. Out of 6 times to the dealer I've had problems 4 times with the work they did. I'm only going to them because it's only has 27K miles so it's covered under warranty.
