I was just thinking about this, I guess we have to go back to stock tunes before going in. With that said, is it even worth bringing it in if you're putting a custom tune on?

Have a 2012 Ecoboost and I could swear I had brought it in already a couple if years ago for this.
Was there not a previous recall?
Or is this to reprogram the reprogram?

Do they have mileage limits on these recalls?
My 13 would be on the list (KC plant 9/12), but I have 114k miles.
I bought the truck used with 59k and I've never had an issue.
The only info I got on it about prior issues was a minor body repair on the bed.
It was a CPO and I have about 4K miles left on the extended warranty.

Theoretically, but without knowing exactly what is wrong with the PCM programming to cause this it makes any tune programmed before this recall dangerous to use. I could just as easily see someone installing a box tune from before the recall and end up reverting their truck back to programming that could allow for this unexpected shifting.
