Default Recall

I don't really know what it takes for Ford to do a recall but I'd think the blend door actuator would qualify. I don't know if a recall is called just for safety issues or not. It seems like there is a blend door actuator thread daily. They almost all seem to go out right after warranty. I know this has been a terrible problem for Ford but I don't see it as their problem since the dealerships get the money to repair Id one chooses to get it done there. **** poor part imo.

How come each thread dies off so quickly? You would think it would get some discussion traction.

Correct. I suppose you could not have A/C either but in my situation I didn't have heat. So no defrost

That has been a problem in a lot of Fords, F150, Explorer ect for at least 15 years that I can remember. I had a 98 explorer, and 2004 explorer that both had it happen. Ford is never going to own up to responsibility for a 98 cent part that takes 1000.00(labor) dollars to replace, times thousands of vehicles.
