Hmmm OP said if you have a 2wd and drive 60mph, you MIGHT get 21mpg......

Well I have a 2wd and it is tuned by MPT and this was taken yesterday. Averaged almost 70mph for this trip. I guess something must be wrong with mine too.

With all we have done in the R&D on the inherent issues, and how easy it is to address the most common issues, including fuel economy, were looking into a new one. The EB is really and excellent engine and tons of potential to increase power. I won't hesitate to buy a new one and make the minor changes needed to right from the start to not have to worry about problems.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if I ever go back to boost it'll be another 6.4 or 6.7 stroker.

damn i would love to see those numbers. as of now i'm still seeing 14-15 mpg with mostly city driving. hopefully once i get to 4k-5k miles the Mpg goes up a bit.

Yup! but note that is a 2WD with the 3.31. Some thoughts here as a first time F150 (and first time truck ) owner. I knew the FX4 with 3.7 would not be as good but at the moment at 1600 miles it is still lower than i would have expected. I would have preferred the 3.55 but couldn't find one specced right at the right deal. Given that I very rarely see the transmission gear display showing anything other than 5 or 6 it could happily pull even a 3.31 for me. Other than the mpg, I must say it is a really sweet engine. Power aplenty and incredibly smooth. Compared to every other truck and f150 combo I drove it was just streets ahead in smoothness and quietness. Since I was coming from a s/c Audi Q7 this was a definite plus for me. Ride/handling have actually been IMHO surprisingly good. I don't feel like I have given up too much in these areas at all. In fact apart from the mpg (seeing 12 too often even taking it easy) it is a pretty decent truck. One thing I have noticed is that hills really kill the mpg VERY quickly. And it takes 3 miles of downhill to make up for 1 mile of uphill. Not such a good thing when you live at 6500' ..

what is the spark plug gap change?

Not only that but he drives it harder than everyone else, yet complains that **** starts to break down and it doesn't get good gas mileage.
Weak suspension, yet it rides rough?

Ok...

I've got a 2012 eco screw 4X4 with 80k miles on it. Overall through the 80k has been 17.8 MPG. I did have the water issue with the CAC and had it detuned through the first TSB for close to 6 months, so I know the mileage overall is a bust. Right now with everything running up to snuff (had second TSB performed and PCM flashed with new cal) as it should be I can get from 17 to 24 mpg, just depends on how I want to drive and where I'm driving. MPG has to many variables to compare vehicle to vehicle with different drivers and different conditions.
I have never "drifted" a truck, and wonder about the mental capacity of someone who would and then complain about it breaking down.
My truck rides nice for what it is, A truck.

Remove your (2) and replace it with a (1) and you'd have my avg mpg . Even with 70% freeway driving I can't crack 14 mpg total for the tank. Been like that since day 1. No change at any mile interval (5k, 10k, 15,k, 20k, 25k).
