Sounds like its a bash on Ford not just the ecoboost.

1. Dash squeaks? How is this an ecoboost problem?
2. I get 20 at 70mph and 15-16 avg in town.
3. How is this an ecoboost problem??
4. Trade in? I got 36k for my 12 with the same options when I traded it in on a 13. Your story is probably due to the new 15's about to come out.
5. I actually get compliments on how nice my truck rides.
6. Depends on your gearing/package. 3.73's and max tow, there you go.
7. Not an ecoboost problem.
8. Not an ecoboost problem.

I've had a 2012 eco and now have a 13 eco. I have loved both. No issues at all. Love the power, love the towing, love the ride, love the quality. I have 2 friends that are/were hardcore chevy guys. Both guys plan on buying a f150 next. My father, who is a big dodge fan, has a 2010 dodge and will be getting a f150 eco next as well.

But, everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I hope you're happy with the Toyota.

That said I feel that Toyota's in my experience can be driven and driven and driven and they keep on going.
Exact same for me. 09 Tacoma double cab. Back seat was worthless. For anyone to sit back there, had to move front seats way forward. Got 19MPG with the V6 on the highway. Get better than that with the 5.0 and sooooo much more room in the back. Tundras are fugly. Would never buy one.

I have the Max Tow with 3.73 gears and the ride is great. As far as mileage, I knew I would get less MPG, no regrets at all. Love this truck.

It's pretty entertaining to watch these threads unfold!

So many fanbois on both sides!

All the things the OP mentioned has been problems associated with the F150, now to have them all on one truck is rare but they are established complaints from other forum members.

I think where people get asses up is that he included the word Ecoboost, had he just left it as "in my opinion, my F150 is a POS" then there wouldn't be so much backlash.

The Eco fanbois are quick to call someone a troll if you say anything negative about that motor! Is it a good motor? Yes! Does it have it's issues? Yes!

Ford did a great job at marketing these motors and people are upset that they aren't getting the return that they though. Sure, most are getting advertised milage but many aren't.

I've said for a while now that the F150 is the new/modern soccer mom/dad vehicle. There is so much room like an SUV and it has a bed for added utility. So when these owners crossover to a truck they are let down by their own lack of research.

To me, it's like the Harley thing, the nightster, iron 883, etc are all sportster models but when someone has an issue they say my nightster has an issue or my Iron has an issue even though they are all sportys.

How many f150's were sold last year. 763,402 to be exact.
There are approximately 25 people complaining, and the other are fans of the imports.
I think the numbers speak for themselves in how well the F-150 performs overall.

Mine has been great so far. Bought used at 25k miles, 31k on it now. Going from a 03 GMC Yukon Denali to the F150 has been a massive upgrade. I tow a 28' camper, and expected the mileage to go down when I tow.

I have zero complaints so far.

I would say the OP had some real problems with his truck, but he is also a bit of a DQ. F150s-like all pick'emup trucks are mass produced. There will always be a few POSs from any manufacturer- including Ford the almighty. I personally think turbos are like well-endowed blondes in a short skirt- nothin' but trouble. But then again, that prolly has more to due with my age than anything else. My FX4 5.0 rides like sh_t. I'm sorry there is no other way to put it. It tows a trailer better than anything I've owned in years. There are a few rattles, and I still don't like the way the engine "chugs" when you start it cold. What I'm saying is: It's a normal, mass-produced truck from the big 3.
