Question Rearview Camera Display options

In the 2013 F150 brochure it states the following:

The rear view camera displays a full-color image in your auto-dimming rearview mirror, on the 4.2" MyFord® screen or on the 8" MyFord Touch®screen (shown). Just shift into Reverse for a wide-angle view behind the truck, complete with a distance guide.

Does anyone here know how to get the rear view on the 4.2" MyFord screen?
My dealer had never heard of it and when I showed them the brochure they seemed uninterested in looking into it.

I do not have myFord Touch. I would much rather have the display on the 4.2" screen than in the mirror.

Thanks!

I will be heading to the dealer to pick up my new truck in about 30 minutes!

I thought that meant if you have the 4.2" MyFord screen, you have the backup view in your rear view mirror. And if you have the 8" MyFord Touch screen, you view it there.

I "think" that you have to have the factory navigation for the rear camera to appear in the big screen............I love the guidance bars when backing up to our TT!!

Has anyone found a mod to move from the mirror to the MyFord screen? Maybe wiring something different or an aftermarket piece?

There is a member on here working on something. Apparently, the 4.2" screen is the exact same screen used in the ?explorer? or escape or some other ford vehicle. Same screen, same electrical connector, same pin out, except on the F150, the positive and negative pins are empty, not used, however, you COULD move the switches from the mirror to the screen, and theoretically this would work. Also, you could add a backup camera to your non equipped truck and use that screen in the dash.

Yes I am going to make this mod a reality, all research is done. It's as simple as moving 1 wire to another pin in the display connector and taking the two wires from the mirror (video + and video -) and putting them in that same connector. That's all I'm going to say about it for now, won't lay it all out until I have it working.
