No the factory screen cannot be used for front cam as input is triggered via can bus when vehicle is put in reverse. The factory mirror with rear cam input is triggered via LIN (local interconnect network) Bus. The rear camera can be moved to 4.2" screen if the screen was properly programmed for camera input. The only alternative at this time is to use an aftermarket rear view mirror with two video inputs so one can be used for front cam and one for rear cam.
once demand is high enough some aftermarket company will figure out how to make a module that will enable rear cam input and possibly front cam as well.

I don't know anything about the specific piece that you posted but I have been doing these installs for a while now. I can get you the model and the logo camera to put the back up camera into the 4" screen.

GFY Lol, Sorry Buddy this thread is for us guys who's specific package didn't come with these extras!!! My Truck was a August 2012 Special Order, Manufacturerd November 2012 Delivered February 2013 and the guy who ordered bought a dodge sport, so I can't complain lol. But it wouldve been nice to have a back up can like you through!!!

You have to remove your screen and the part number is on the back. However, I will tell you that we have not found an F150 yet that is incompatible. We publish the numbers as a last minute sanity check before flashing the new program just in case you have something different for some reason. Best to get the kit, remove the screen, and check the numbers. In the unlikely event that you have a different part number than what is supported give us a call and we will have the engineer check it. If it's not compatible return it for a full refund.

All of the incompatible radio series are in cars and have not affected the F series.

I just wanted to let everyone know that's been wanting to see their rear camera image in the 4.2" screen in their '13's that it is possible. All that you need to do is either tap into the video feed wires to the mirror or run a wire from the mirror down to the display and reprogram the display using IDS or Forscan with the as built data from a '14 with the rear camera option.
