Rear window shattered for no reason?
I'm aware of the heated/power slider issues but I just have a basic solid back window, which luckily is tinted or I'd be cleaning up a much bigger mess.
I've had the truck(2014 super crew) for right at 3 weeks and around 1000 miles. Its about 55* outside right now but was cooler yesterday. Not like it was freezing though. Got in the truck and closed the door and heard the rear window shatter. 99% sure it wasn't cracked when I got in because I approached from the back and put my kid in on the passenger side.
No signs of anything hitting the window, its perfectly flat but just shattered.

I wonder if there was a small crack in the corner and when you shut the door it caused it to shatter? Cold weather might have just helped it happen.
Just a guess?

Something like that. Small pit near bottom corner looks like a pellet gun got it. I looked closer after seeing the neighbors was busted too.

Either of y'all have camera's on your homes that might show the little bastard with the pellet gun? Sue his stupid parents for raising a very irresponsible child.

It was probably an "adult" in this neighborhood. No camera. They probably steal that too. My super duty was stolen 2 weeks after I bought it from the same spot. We've been talking about moving and I think this just lit the fire for that.
Just worried if someone is going around shooting **** that they'll shoot my kid or dog.

Yeah, pellet guns seem to search out car windows and headlights. Especially if you have an angry kid in the neighborhoon. Years ago, I was leaving my parents home at early dark and my headlights did not work. My car was facing the street and someone had shot out my headlights. Left my car and borrowed mom's. When I returned the next day with new headlights, I found my windshield had also been shot. In anger, I slammed the driver's door and the windshield "spider legged" in multiple directions..... just punctuation I guess. Neighbors fingered a lonely teen, but I never did find out who did it.

That sucks but I'm glad you found out what caused it
