Rear View Mirror
Got a 2014 F150 5.0 4x4 XLT.
Bucket seats.
I'm 5'10" high.
When I'm in my Wifes truck. I have to lower the Bucket down to the floor to be able to see out of the Rear View Mirror.
If I raise the electric seat up where I can streach out my legs.
When I am looking in the rear View Mirror, I'm looking in the bed of the truck.
You can't adjust it any higher.
When I had my Oil changed at Anderson Ford in Cleveland, Texas
I asked why can I not adjust my rear view mirror.
They said call Ford customer service. They made the truck.
Not us.
Hell they are a Ford Dealership. They sell ford vehicles.
Should the dealership not be the person to help me with my problems with my F150 Ford truck.
I have a 7 yr 100,000 mile warranty on the truck.
But it seems I need to call the Mfg to get a answer on what to do with my Ford Product.
Has anybody else had this problem.
And do you know what to do.
Thanks .

I hate the dang thing, I keep it pushed up as high as possible and the mirror facing up.
I can use the side mirrors better, plus, at night , it does not dim the headlights behind me enough.
Just another thing I hate about this
truck.
I am seriously looking for a 1995 model, and sell this thing.

Have you called Ford customer service and asked why.
Looks like everybody at ford that is driving these trucks must be short.
Under 5'10"
So a couple of questions.
First is the truck really your wife's truck?
Second, does the mirror have a manual dimming lever? It is possible that is in the wrong position and because your "wife" is a different height, she is still able to see out the back.
I have never called Ford, well at least not on the telephone. I've called them a bunch of names, sometimes.
I don't put a lot of faith in the service department on issues like this, which why I participate in this community. You may want to check out the sales department. Maybe there is a used vehicle similar to yours that you can check out to see if it is unique (or similar) to your situation.

Bought the truck for my wife.
She don't like cars.
And she works in Houston and when a good rain comes the sidewalks go under the water.
Just flipped it 180*
It gave me a tiny bit more of the mirror to look out of.

Your's must be an auto dimming, mine is not. But, I went just to check, my mirror mount is double jointed, meaning 2 ball/pivot/swivel joints. One just behind the mirror, and one just at the windshield mount, with a 2-3" stem in the middle.
These two joints give all the pivot in the world. Double check yours, I bet the upper ball just need a little force.

I have never seen a mirror that can not be moved to a position where you cant see out of maybe the piviot is stiff and needs more force or the mount could be in the wrong position on the windshield. now for the service department I would go somewhere else there is no reason for them to answer you like that iam a tech in a dealership (not ford) and our shop would never treat a customer like that, if you call customer support it would be to complain about the service you are receiving.
