if it is worn on the outside or inside of the tire as well you are either cornering too fast or have a bad alignment. My roommate has torn up front tires buy turning sharply with speed. It had to have happened while these were on the front bc on a fixed axle you obviously wouldnt have this problem

Checked the receipt and it only listed "set tire pressures" not rotate tires so they have most likely been on the back the whole time.

I will try talking to Goodyear but I feel like it is a tough sell. I would be happy with a credit even for the same tires but I'm not very good at bargaining.

Your engine transmits a lot of torque to those rear wheels. My guess is that in your 'spirited' driving style you are routinely torquing the sh*t out of those cheap stock tires.
Cheap tires + gobs of torque = premature tire wear; simple as that.

If you don't ask for it, they won't do it. Get the Works deal next time. It includes rotation. I have SRAs and they are wearing fine. That includes about 3000 mile with 6000# travel trailer in mountains. The dealer pots 40# in my tires. No problems with excessive center wear (I'm surprised). They have 19,000 miles with 2 rotations.

Its possible. I personally don't feel that I drive it hard enough for them to be done already. I would expect the fronts to be much more worn than the rears since they take most of the cornering force, most of the weight, and most of the braking.

feifel: where did you get the new tires from? did you have to go to a tire place or to the dealer? I'm just wondering if I could avoid the phone conversation and take it someplace instead. I feel like them being able to see the tires would make a difference.

You must drive very spirited because I drive spirited as well except my tires are wearing just fine with 11k miles on the clock. I can also tell they never rotated tires either. I'm surprised they didn't recommend a rotation to you. I rotated mine at 10k. The insides of the fronts were starting to cup but nowhere near as bad as yours. You might want to have an alignment done when you rotate as well. I keep 42psi in the front and 37 in the rear. I will probably drop pressures shortly for winter. Really, I'm hoping to get different tires soon anyway.

You have to call Goodyear customer service and then they tell you where to take it to get a looked at I went to a Goodyear service center

Mine look the exact same. I've had mine rotated every other oil change. They now have 34k on them - about 1/4 is towing. I don't spin them, they're aired exactly as door sticker says every other week, and they're never over loaded.

I've chalked it up to POS tires. I'm also in the market for new but hoping to wait as long as possible before I drop $1,000. I'll probably cave sometime in November. There is a 0% chance of me remaining brand loyal.
