Default Rear shock relocation.

I just bought a 2014 Tremor and I want to relocate the rear shocks under or, inside the frame rails to fit a wider rim and tire. I'm curious about anyone doing this. It looks like the rear shocks being moved would open up another 3-4" of fender.

This used to be the location but they were moved outboard to control axle movement better.

I assume you can move the brackets if you're handy with a welder.

Yeah, I don't want to negatively affect the handling but, at the same time I really want to stuff a fat tire under it. It would be nice to hear from someone who has done it before I order some brackets from Summit and start welding. Thanks..

Well one option is to maybe go for a diffrent rear offset on the wheels...

No bags. Just a 3/5 drop and helper bags to be able to pull my car trailer. I'm new to the furum thing but, I'll post pics. I'm sure there's a ton of knowledge on here for the F150 community.

Offset has nothing to do with the 3" that the shock brackets rob from the rear fender well

Not sure if this helps but there is a guy on the other forum that had his rear axle cut down to stuff a 22x10 on 305 tires, looks great! Slow something is his name.

Slow91, hmm maybe he never posted that info on his build thread.. I saw it in person and I was at LET when the guys were removing the axle. Send him a PM on .Net, he might even let you see it up close since you are in Texas and maybe close to the Bay area?
