Rear seat hook removal?

I had to have my seat cover replaced under warranty. The dealer told me that they had to break those to get the cover off and ordered new ones to replace them when installing the replacement seat cover. Not sure if that means they are not meant to come off without breaking/replacing or the guy at the dealer didn't know what he was doing....

I reused mine, but maybe I just got lucky.

No, but there were implications that guys didn't know what the hooks were for because they didn't shop for groceries.

I realize this is an old thread but I can across this searching for something else. I think the hooks you guys are talking are part of the L.A.T.C.H system. It is a universal hookup for a child seat.

I would be really careful if you try and take them off and re-install as you could create an unsafe condition if not reinstalled right.

They are underneath the driver's side rear passenger seat (where someone sits). These are basic plastic hooks, and part of the LATCH system. No worries there.
